Spicy Konnyaku (Yam Cake)

Japanese cuisine might be considered exotic to some, perhaps because there are foods that are not widely known or eaten in the West. One such Japanese food is konnyaku. It is a vegetarian yam cake  made from the root of the konjac plant. At one point in Japan, konnyaku was marketed as a diet food as it is virtually calorie-free and fat-free. Try this very easy, yet robust spicy konnyaku recipe, new on the blog this week.
