This Month: Celebrate the Children in Your Family

In Japan, Children's Day is celebrated on May 5th. It's a day where families gather and enjoy Japanese dishes such as sushi, but it is especially known for a traditional Japanese desert known as "chimaki". This dessert is a sweet rice cake that can be made anytime throughout the year and it's a favorite of my daughter. Visit our Japanese food blog to learn more about the traditions and foods enjoyed during this special time and set aside a special day for the little ones in your family. Cheers!
