From Carroll Pellegrinelli, your Guide to Desserts/Baking
It's that time once again to say goodbye to school and hello summer. I still envy all those children who are out of school for a couple of months. I wish we could have month-long vacations. Enjoy some of the gifts we've given in the past to my daughter's teachers.

Chocolate Peanut Clusters
Chocolate Peanut Clusters Chocolate Peanut Clusters and the number one most requested gift. We've packaged them many ways. This was the year we bought small, brand new, ceramic-lined flower pots. These have a Christmas theme, but we can get other themes year-round at Garden Ridge. If you don't have this store, there must be a similar-type store near you.

Canning Jar Cakes
Canning Jar CakesThese canning jar cakes are wildly popular with teachers. Be sure to give them along with a spoon just in case they are eaten while still at school.

Oh Fudge!
Fudge-Filled Insulated GlassesHomemade fudge makes a great gift anytime of year. A piece of plastic wrap was put down into a reusable insulated cup. We next added the fudge. The plastic wrap was twisted and tied with curling ribbon to seal in the fudge. We used the business card program on the computer to print cards with my daughter's name on them and tied them on there as well.

Layered Cookie Mixes
Laying cookie ingredients in canning jars is a gift that's been around for years. If you don't want to be fancy and layer the ingredients, you could wrap your jar like this one with tissue paper and tie with curling ribbon. Don't forget to attach a card with the recipe for making the cookies.
