This recipe for Butter Cookies a.k.a. Spritz Cookies is made using a cookie press. They are often seen during Christmas time, but are perfect anytime of year. As these Butter Cookies are quite delicate, I think they go perfectly with a cup of hot tea.

Aunt Mary's Krumkake - a Norwegian Cookies  

I got this recipe for Krumkake from my Aunt Mary. Her children, my cousins Melissa and Michael call these "Grandma's Cookies." It would be very unusual if there wasn't at least one big tin of these at the family reunions. Krumkakes are served either flat or rolled into a cone. My husband's Italian relatives have a similar cookie called Pizzelles. Pizzelles are also baked on an engraved iron.
