I just wanted to quickly introduce myself: I am Danette St. Onge, the new Italian Food Expert for About.com. I just started on Friday and I apologize for the little snafu with the newsletter; I was not aware that an old newsletter by the former guide, Kyle Phillips, was set to automatically go out yesterday. I'm sorry for any confusion or outdated information.
Also, happy martedì grasso to everyone! Today is Fat Tuesday, the last day of Carnevale. The first recipe that I've posted is for a simple Lemon-Ricotta cake, traditionally made during this time in Naples.
I'm really looking forward to sharing my passion for and knowledge of Italian food with all of you and I welcome your comments, questions, and suggestions.
