A Food Lover's Guide to Florence...and Tagliatelle with Chanterelles

I was recently asked, for the umpteenth time, for some dining recommendations for a friend traveling to Florence. Wondering why I hadn't done this sooner, I decided to put everything into a comprehensive online guide -- accessible to everyone! So here you have it, my guide to eating, drinking, and food-related activities in my beloved Firenze.

I also have a super-quick and easy recipe for fresh tagliatelle with fresh chanterelle mushrooms, which are in the middle of their short annual season. You can have this flavorful dish on the table in just about 30 minutes!

Finally, I wanted to note that About has made many changes to the newsletter and e-mail systems over the past few months. If you have been writing in response to my newsletters and did not receive a reply, I have not been ignoring you! I no longer receive any messages sent in Reply to these newsletters. For the moment, writing to me directly at: italianfood@aboutguide.com works, however About will discontinue forwarding messages sent to that address as of August 17. So, moving forward, if you have any comments or questions, please write to me directly at my Gmail address -- my username is "danettes". (In other words: danettes [AT] gmail [DOT] com, replacing [AT] with @ and [DOT] with a period. Apologies for making it complicated, but it's to avoid spam.)
