Sweet and Sour Chicken

Deep-fried chicken pieces are finished with a sauce made with tomato paste, rice vinegar and brown sugar. It’s designed to have extra sauce to mix with cooked rice.

 


Easy(ier) Baked Chinese New Year Cake

For those who prefer baked to steamed cakes, here is a recipe for baked Nian Gao with sweet red bean paste and glutinous rice flour.


Oyster Sauce Chicken Wings

 This recipe is easy to make, with chicken wings marinated in an oyster-flavored sauce before baking. I’ve also included instructions for deep-frying the wings in a flour/cornstarch batter.
