What a great headline, right? Another motley collection of new recipes this week, including, yes, beans and beer, dirty brown rice and a Thai-flavored barley stir-fry. Hope you enjoy!

Vegetarian dirty brown rice
Who needs meat to make a flavorful rice dish? As long as you've got celery, peppers and onions, you've got plenty of flavor! Lots of Cajun seasoning, fresh thyme and a good vegetable broth add even more in this southern-style dirty brown rice recipe with red beans.

Thai-inspired barley stir-fry
If you love Thai flavors, vegetable stir-fries and whole grains, you'll love this vegetarian, vegan and cholesterol-free recipe which combines them all. It's made with barley garlic, eggplant, bell pepper, hot sauce and Thai vegetarian oyster sauce along with fresh basil and mint. That's a lot of flavor packed into one dish!

Broccoli in sweet garlic sauce
A healthy Chinese restaurant-style recipe for broccoli in a sweet garlic sauce, served with rice. Feel free to add in some other veggies too, perhaps sliced carrots or baby corn, or even some tofu for a heartier meal.

Half-smashed beans and beer
These vegetarian beans, prepared with a bit of Mexican beer, can be served as a refried bean dip with chips, as a side dish to a Mexican meal, or rolled up in a flour tortilla for vegetarian burritos. They're half-smashed, so similar to refried beans. But with beer.
